Samoa 10-Day Visitor Permit

Before applying, be sure you qualify and have all your documents ready:

To qualify, travelers must be Samoan-born citizens.

​

To apply, documents needed are:

​​​

  • Identification, such as valid passport or document of identity (valid at least 6 months after departure)

  • Roundtrip ticket, showing travel within 10 days

  • Confirmed hotel booking / or verification of name and location of home if staying with family (ie utility bill)

  • Local contact phone number

  • Credit card to pay $10 USD non-refundable fee

 

American Samoa Immigration reserves the right to deny a permit for any reason, including but not limited to an untimely application or application for someone previously excluded or deported.

How long does it take to process a Samoa 10-Day Permit

Applications must be submitted online within 3 business days prior to travel. Any application submitted later may not be processed.

What happens when I get an approved Samoa 10-Day Permit

You will be emailed a Samoa 10-Day Permit that you will be required to present to an immigration officer upon arrival.

​

What if I have not applied before I arrive in American Samoa?

You may be turned away at any of the Ports of Entry in American Samoa and be required to return on the same vessel you embarked on.
