CRIMINAL DIVISION

The Criminal Division of the Attorney General’s Office represents the American Samoa Government in the prosecution of crimes in American Samoa. We develop, enforce, and apply local criminal laws to help ensure public safety. Our attorneys work closely with local and federal law enforcement agencies throughout the investigative and trial process. The division also oversees the Sex Offender Registry and advises the Parole Board.

CIVIL DIVISION

The Civil Division represents the American Samoa Government in all civil legal matters. We provide legal counsel to ASG departments, agencies, and offices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Division also protects the government's legal interests by defending against civil claims and pursuing litigation on behalf of ASG when necessary.
